RE: Management must believe there is something theThe combined mineral reserves for Lluvia de Oro and La Jojoba is around 20.000.000 tonnes (add 3 million tonnes more if you assume all resources can be converted to reserve). Per the press release, the new leach pad can be constructed in stages, with the 45 million tonnes being the capacity if they choose to construct all five stages.
The metallurgical controls has always been part of the plan, as per the feasibility study from 2010: "An additional key feature of the new Lluvia-Jojoba production plan is the provision of much-improved metallurgical controls, especially for the heap leaching operations [...] The new Lluvia-Jojoba leach pads will have distinct cells underlying each section of the heaps." (See page 51, the report can be found on Sedar).
It's mentioned as one of the key points in the plan to avoid past production problems along with selective mining and the SART plant.
