I agree this thread is surprisingly quiet for a company that I believe has great potential. Nexen really has run a low profile in the past especially under Vic Zaleschuk's watch. I think that this has changed under Charlie Fischer who has taken over and has taken bigger steps to promote the co. It will be interesting to see the yearend numbers and what if any impact the Pan Canadian / AEC proposed merger may have in the Cdn Oil & Gas industry. I don't believe that Fischer has any interest in making an acquisition as they like to grow by the toolbit. These guys are pretty efficient and their anchor property in Yemen will provide the cashflow for their prospects in the Gulf of Mexico and S. America. At current levels I like the value and it is by far my largest position. Nat Gas price is likely going to be soft for the next two quarters who knows they may be part of further consolidation for a co. looking for a solid producer with decent financials. Darwyn
