Re: Not too many options left

I can understand the frustration after 6 years very much like the rest of you but I feel Top and Tony you are really underestimating the price of this concession.  The SP i do not believe will reflect the B/O price.  There is still from my sources interested parties in serious discussion.  I have not given up on December 2011.  When the POG and the ounces we have proven plus blue sky there is no way Chet will sell this cheap.  I hope he doesn't.  Many of us have waited too long for this to go for $1.50-$2.00 a share.  The mine issue leads me to believe it will be sold sooner than later.  Maybe someone is looking to take out Teranga and Ole which would be a wise long term plan for one of the majors.  But I still look at ounces, potential and POG and $4.-$5 looks much more realistic.

Riffdoc, I realize that I am underestimating the price of Oromin.  I too think that $1.50 to $2.00 per share is low but considering all the issues including the ever important mill and pressure from the government, that may be all they can get barring further dilution.  I also mentioned a while back the possibilty that a major may be looking to take out both ...more

BTW... hes making $1 mil p/yr in salary, and stands to make over $30 mil++  on the deal. I election is now less that three months away. Still a lot of questions about Wade's eligibility to run for office for the third time at age 86. There could be riots in the streets, I think any transactions would what an see if there is any trouble or another Arab spring.

underestimating the price of Oromin.  I too think that $1.50 to $2.00 per share The debate is not about what it is worth, because no major is going to pay that, period. Look at most acquisitions--they get, what, 50-80% above current SP? So thinking we will get 400%+ is outside reality. Don't get me wrong, I sure hope for 4 bucks!! So no criticism intended. So we should "expect ...more

Only problem is we only get 50-80% of share price the way things have been going lately the buyout price will be $1.20. I hope we get some good news soon to help bolster the share price because this is getting ridiculous.
