Devaluing the Yuan

Caliche - I have just read that China is going to devalue the Yuan. What, if any, effect would that have on the price of gold?

Hi Mallard..   who knows.. nothing makes sense anymore..   my honest opinion is it doesnt matter.. BUT ..putting my thinking cap on i would say devaluing the yuan makes chinese exports cheaper allowing their economy to chug along and grow by more then the feared 7.5% which is absurd cause 7.5% growth is massive..   it would make internal demand for gold weaker since in yuan it would ...more
