The Environment Commission gives the green light

The Environment Commission gives the green light to the expansion of the Orovalle reservoir

The CAMA conditions the authorization to the development of several measures to reduce the impact of the action, which plans to increase the level of the deposit by 30 meters

Committee on Environmental Affairs (CAMA)

Writing/ Grau

Yesterday, the Environmental Affairs Commission reported favorably on the environmental impact statement of the expansion of the capacity of the sludge deposit in Corta del Valle, in the Boins mine, located in Belmonte de Miranda, with the intention of increasing the elevation from 510 to 540 meters. The approval is conditional on the development of different measures to reduce the impact of the action, says the Principality. The authorization allows activity to be maintained at the Orovalle gold mine, which came to raise an ERTE that was finally withdrawn, and rejects the allegations of environmentalists, who opposed the approval of the project.
