Bell and Telus were the catalist but they had the attention of a lot of other companies who were watching to see what would happen. The proposal of stopping the conversion of new trusts I think would have been a mistake as I believe it is important that in a capitalist society the playing field needs to be level for all players. I myself think we need a major overhaul of the tax system and would prefer one where the market picks the winners and losers to one where the government does.
