Palmer : Hard to predict Its hard to predict when Palmer will quit wrting tripe or tell the truth , if he knows it . We have the power for the first project and its not even a done deal yet . But this article is all about power supply for the second and third projects . Also no comment about the irony that a natgas power plant would consume about 5 % of the natgas that the LNG facility would export . He's worried about those emissions but not about the 95% that will be exported . Apache , on June 20th , had a news release delaying first cargo from 2016 to 2017 , presumably they're delaying construction start up as well . It didn't fizz on the cut and past crowd . But then Apache was as subtle as possible so maybe they didn't notice .
Vaughn Palmer is an experienced political reporter , he should give out the real goods . Every company that operates , or wants to , in BC is very nervous about the upcoming NDP government . In the article he explained some of the expensive mistakes of the present liberal government . They're supposedly conservative and economically responsible. I've said it before no final decision until after the next provincial election . And then only after it is known what the real policies will be . Which will probably take another year . In this economy nobody is going to lay out billions without knowing how they will be treated by the provincial government . I'm not saying it will never happen , I'm saying it will take a lot longer than people think .
