They just didn't understand the way things work in BC ., and neither did the board of directors . With lay people its understandable but the board of directors should never have allowed a debacle like this to occur . Unless of course the board of directors think they are there to fly around , attend parties , collect retainers and such , rather than providing governance for the company . Take their recent foray into the heavy oil arena with Chinese backing . The pipelines out of Alberta are full , and they aren't going to be able to get approvals for more anytime soon . The US is increasing lower 48 production with the Bakken and now the Gulf will be increasing production too . These morons want back what they had in Cenovus , except they're 5 years too late .
