USA Operations segment includes the exploration for, development of, and production of oil, NGLs, natural gas and other related activities within the United States. Canadian Operations segment includes the exploration for, development of, and production of oil, NGLs, natural gas and other activities within Canada. Market Optimization segment is primarily responsible for the sale of the Company’s production to third-party customers and enhancing the associated netback price. The segment’s activities also include third-party purchases and sales of product to provide operational flexibility.

Athalon, along with most of the other plays are now extremely capital intensive. Suttles might just put this company under. The Athalon deal was expensive at $100 oil. It is lunacy at $75 oil. EnCana has billions and billions in Cap-ex to get any return on this as well as most of it't other projects.

People are forgetting that ECA would have had to pay close to a billion in exchange (CDN to American) to buy the same assets out right.
