Bloodbath

Bought some at 5.18 in this bloodbath, figure with the states on holiday today that this might be the bottom though I fear that if things get really ugly we head into the 4's.

IMHO, this is the best buy on the TSX at the moment! Relentless selling pressure again today and surprisingly it managed to hold up into the close. Back in at 5.19 and if it dips a bit I'm prepared to let it ride out the week....within reason of course...

You call today's action holding up? Funny how some posters never mention ever selling yet quick to mention buys st lower prices. Should be use to it by now as that's the Stockhouse way lol

...actually, I did mention selling at the close on Fri at 5.34, not sure what your point is here. Under the circumstances I do think the price held up quite well up into the close today.

What circumstances are you talking about? The stock has lost 1.3 in about 10 days so today's action being down again 2.63% is not holding up imo. I didn't see any other oil trade worse today.

....seriously, you cant come up with any extenuating circumstances on your own to explain why there has been massive selling pressure since last weeks vote count! Are you deliberately obtuse? I'm not sure if we have seen the bottom yet but its close IMO and to borrow a phrase, I'm quite confident that this company is "seriously undervalued" at the moment.

Well last week you agreed with the manipulation theory and to me that's not a circumstance. Volume today was quite high since there was a holiday in the US so I do believe Canadian funds are selling out and I also believe the NG price has lots to with ECA selling off. Since the vote came in 90% in favour of what was proposed why is there little buying to offset the selling pressure. What's ...more

I guess the way I look at it is.... If you want to purchase ECA shares and you are aware that there will be funds liquidating substantial positions, it then becomes a buyers market. In those circumstances wouldnt it be best to wait while the sellers come to you? To say there was little buying today tho is not actually correct. Todays drop occured during the first hour and for the rest of the day ...more
