Florence Copper Prefeasibility Study Demonstrates Positive Economics

VANCOUVER, Feb. 13, 2013 /CNW/ - Curis Resources Ltd. ("Curis" or the "Company") (TSX: CUV), is pleased to announce the results of the Prefeasibility Study (PFS) on its Florence Copper Project in central Arizona, USA.  The PFS report is authored by M3 Engineering &a... Read more

The PFS is even better than I thought it would be. DB-2

Very low Capital costs of $196 mil. With todays cu prices this project has NPV of $1 billion ! Wish them all the best.

PFS is simply staggering. Just a matter of time until we blast past $1.20 and reach new highs. At this point some of the majors must be looking at the numbers and drooling.Takeout is imminent. Congrats to all longs.Cheers.

The great news (confirmation) is that even if they never got to use the Florence (private) lands, they have a good 9 years of production with capital cost payback in the first 2.4 years. So even being conservative, they have a good 6 years following cap payback. It is had to imagine that Florence would continue to balk at expanding the project 9 years after production started given there were no ...more

Think after towns people have good jobs for nine years, be a bigger push to keep operation going, By the town

Take out is imminent? Just based on the PFS? If so, not quite. UIC hasn't been issued yet, though it most certainly will. The 2nd issue is the resolution of the town ordinance banning sulphuric acid. This company is not just developing the Florence copper project but they are building a wealth of expertise in insitu copper mining. I hope they don't get taken out at all. I would much ...more

Dido, this is a $10 plus stock, just not in the next few years
Comment by Art35 on Feb 13, 2013 2:01pm
NPV $748mil (using $2.75 /lb cu)= SP $12 @ 61.44 mil FD share count NPV $875mil (using $3 /lb cu) = SP $14.24 @ 61.44 mil FD share count This is just a "theoretical speculation" as the share count will certainly change. I think the long term average price of copper will oscillate around $3.50 what gives roughly $1billion NPV Anyways, CUV will be a cash cow generating TONS of cash. A ...more

I disagree. At this point, there is no way to predict when this will be a 10+ stock. The big hurdle after the UIC and teh town ordinance issue is the zoning of the non-state lands. When the non-state lands issue is finally resolved, that is when we will see the lid come off the stock price in terms of a 10+ share price. If they resolve it before build out, it might be a couple of years but not a ...more

UIc is imminent, town ordinace is before federal judge and will be ruled unconstitituinal - ordinace picks on Curis and no other company ......ruling will be expected in ne xt few months, Curis will do state land for 8 to 9 years before going back to nonstate land - Rankin after giving his buddy Johnson water rights to southern part of city without public consultation, will not get reelected ...more

Yes, Will have to give you that, its a long term hold.the value is there, just will take time to unlock it
Comment by Metalsguy1 on Feb 14, 2013 3:08pm
Yes, the PFS, and the press release state that Curis will do the state land for 8 or 9 years. Curis acts and speaks very conservatively in my opinion, which I think is a good thing, but the fact is that if they get the zoning issue resolved, they will not wait until year 8 or 9 to put it into production.
Comment by sexylexi on Feb 24, 2013 11:01am
Yes, we will just have to wait. The stakes they hold are fairly appealing. I think buy in could defintely fall to under $0.20 again depending on press releases and impatient share holders.  Production takes time and effort, I think management could be a bit less conservative and more outgoing here but I'm sure they all have other ventures and things going on.

agree if i had any money left i would buy right now. i think the chances are pretty high that they get the outstanding permits. concerning the lawsuit: i honestly cannot imagine that these "kids" win the court case...
Comment by adit123 on Feb 28, 2013 5:48pm
Not likely the City can win the case because that means a city can control activities on state lands--not what the state wants to see!
