Investor Help

I was quite impressed with the Alberta Stock Exchange. They return my call so much quicker then the Toronto Stock Exchange and provided with helpful information. I was encouraged to obtain evidence of those investor presentations which are now difficult to obtain. Moreover, I was wondering if any of you would support Mr. Warren Buffett helping us. I think he is a good man that helps out innocent retail investors that get taken advantage of. Are we all ok we me asking him to help us? I am want to help all innocent retail investors who have been taken advantage. Please send me information on how to get those difficult to obtain presentations. Thank You

Hi asockhmm, you can still find this year's Annual General Meeting slides here Painted Pony AGM May 2020 This slide deck includes all the fancy numbers and promises ;o) Remember this slide deck has been released 3 months ago - unbelievable ... E.g. this part on slide 29 Valuation Metrics (based on $1 billion Canbriam valuation) Canbriam $5,833/acre PONY $5,833/acre x 185,704 acres = $1 ...more

Thanks, If this rake-over ever goes through then these slides should be added to high school, curriculums to explain to younger people about greed and duplicity in the  stock markets.

It seems that Pat Ward was right in his opinion that the nat gas market would get much better and that Painted Pony was seriously undervalued.    How could anyone be so lacking in conviction ? It is one thing to find out that you have been misled all along . To be told that you weren't misled but that you should throw in the towel anyway is in a league of its own.

It strikes me as very strange for Pat, he talks so well of PONY and he himself stated the valuations so why the sudden fold? Or is it the 25% owners that are forcing his hand? Can't really judge the guy as who knows what we would do being in the same position but it doesn't make sense

So much fear right now, or is it greed on the debt holders part? Secure the debt repayment from CNRL and chase other opportunities? I'll be sticking around as well In regards to the debt redetermination, do you think there will be much emphasise on it as it seems to be a done deal? I can't see the banks suddenly pulling or expanding their credit due to the CNRL "safety net" now ...more

Hi TradeTracer, I think Aug 31 will be an interesting date. I agree what other persons have suggested: Debt Redetermination should be independent of the CNRL offer. Ultimately, there is still a chance that shareholders don't approve this deal. I guess there are 4 potential outcomes Aug 31: 1. There will be another news release that the redetermination will be rescheduled until after the ...more

Sorry to interject, but seeing that credit facility should have been settled prior to last May ,it will be very hard for the lending syndicate not to declare their hand -particularly prior to a critical vote on the sale of Painted Pony A real dilemma for the banks. I suspect something will happen very soon  though trading activity is surprisingly quiet.
Comment by Cheadle12 on Aug 25, 2020 8:14pm
Trading activity is quiet, because it's a wrap.   Deal is done & CNRL gallop off with PONY's assets for a song. Fat Ward & Jason "No relation to Theo" Fleury make out like cash bandits on the other side. Money, Money, Money !  ..  .. just not for shareholders aka bagholders.
Comment by Oldnagger on Aug 25, 2020 8:37pm
One question if the banks leave the credit line somewhere close to where it is now , and investors come to realize that Painted Pony is now profitable , Why would they agree to sell out ?
Comment by Cheadle12 on Aug 25, 2020 9:58pm
If PONY had the debt structure that say Crew Energy had ($300M termed out to 2024), they'd still be in business & this would be a $6-9 stock by 2024. But rather term out the debt, it seems that the board, mgmt & Jason "run for the hills" Fleury sold out shareholders and took a bird in the hand. No way they should have been doing a deal with Clowns Nobody Really likes ...more

Why will the bank syndicate stick their necks out with a credit redetermination when they get all their funds back without one? Expect more extensions until CNRL cuts a cheque. Its a done deal. The banks want their money back, CNRL wants the gas for its oilsands operations and no-one, absolutely no-one cares what shareholders want. There is no 'white knight', its gonna be "goodnight ...more

How can the banking syndicate not stick their heads out now after at least two credit extensions and an all important vote coming up. How could anyone write a fairness opinion without knowing the credit situation. The time for a show of hands is now . It never should have been allowed to,drag on so long. Everything about this deal is crazy. I only hope it is not allowed to be the new standard for ...more

Here's looking to this day, but it feels like it'll be a non event If I was in Ward's shoes right now I would have been spending this time collecting as much cash from every corner of PONY and putting it towards the credit line... even an extra million less would be doing something to mark the home stretch, then if the deal doesn't get accepted deal with the issues after...
