Specialty Coffee booming in NA
PEET taking advantage of the amazing growth of Specialty
Coffee in North America. These guys, I caught on the way up but I
think it is going to rest a bit. Geting high for me.They have had a
great 1Q marketing thrust so we shall see the fall out on Q2.
Then another few notches up or is this the new level?
Coffee is going to continue to sparkle at the value added roast
and liquids level IMO. You can see it with the massive takeovers
by the Starbuck guys of rising stars in the Industry. I am biased
but Coffee is the best place to meet people without alchohol
ambitions. Having been in the Food and Beverage Industry at
many levels the old bar date gets pretty stale. Today the younger
crowd wants a little culture with their coffee not a Singapore
Sling. OH that is sooooo old.
