meetingGreat summary on the meeting guys. I have to say that I came away from today feeling considerably more confident about the near term prospects of this company. It does finally seem like things are aligning in a time frame that might start to get the market excited.
I really like the new focus on getting credibility. Management finally seems to understand the importance of actually doing one or more really meaningful deals with strong partners..... As we have said repeatedly on this board, they really need some indisputable partnerships or license deals to truly get the market and the industry to give the whole company and technology the respect it arguably deserves and they truly do seem poised to do this.
I am particularly encouraged that three aspects of the business ALL seem poised to deliver some tangible news within the next three to six months. This could lead to a substantial sentiment swing and potentially a return of some positive momentum.
Pierre specifically said preliminary phase II 1402 results would be available within 90 days.... THAT'S HUGE if the results are anything like the pre-clinical and Phase One stuff.... Where are we if this compound truly has profound results on anemic patients ??
Pierre also said that CE Mark and IPO in the UK should be complete by the end of Q2....We actually saw a prototype of the filter and blood bag and it looked quite impressive...
And finally... Pierre went to great pains to let us know that regardless of the outcome of the HEMOSOL insolvency, Prometic was going to come out swinging, either with an entirely new, credible partner.... or with someone that buys the Hemosol assets and license... I know that we have heard this before... but I truly think this Hemosol process has a bit of a silver lining. Many industry people have been thru Hemosol's plant as part of this liquidation process, they have seen the process... they have seen the results... and they are impressed. This also is a very affordable way for any of the majors to enter this business with a high degree of control at bargain prices....it all makes sense.
Guys... it might finally be our time...
I should add that Kym Anthony was particularly confident and impressive. I do think he's provided a very positive influence on the direction of both the board and management.
we are not out of the woods totally, but I do think we are going to see some indisputably positive catalysts that will drive us higher. The key is to get the institutional community back on board... re-establish a 50% or more institutional base... and we will move alot higher when the good news flows.
