RE:RE:RE:Barcode
Well there is no doubt in the broadest terms that its typical to have a negative stock reaction when any insider, director or prinicple sells. But in the context of the overall volume, their sales were inconsequential.... and if you look deeper at the specifics... there is less to read into it as well.
Its vogue these days to pay Directors and Execs in RSU's. ( Restricted Share Units ) In many cases, the RSU's represent 75% or more of an individual's annual compensation. They are tax effective for the individuals, and cash effective for the company. But because its often a guys primary compensation, selling of these RSU's once they vest is much more common than it used to be. The upshot is, its not quite the same... OMG INSIDERS ARE SELLING read that it used to be. In fact, many company's will actually have a couple of pre-scheduled RSU sale dates for guys so its well telegraphed and understood ahead of time. I am frankly a fan of that approach, i just like the transparency of it all.
Regardless, I think the flush down was a combination of a sell on the news, some opportune Hedge Funds playin the game... forcing some margined traders to put and run. Real buyers have stepped in, and now from a technical standpoint things looks really solid. Layer in some more news... and this stock breaks new ground.
