Why didn't they agree on the average share price of the past x # days ??? (say the average of past 15 days) - that would have easily given $2.00 as base price.

Let me guess: "temporary nose dive"  "haha shareholders dont worry I'm experienced"  Yes, PL, there are reasons why many of us shareholders were concerned last fall after your analyst day fiasco & the SP plumetted.  It takes time for the SP recover when these drops (not dips) occur.
