RE:yet another vague statement by PLI
GoBB, as you know I have sold my PLI position. I will not receive rights. I'm moving on but so many awful things have happened I just want to understand better the situation. I have stumbled on to something that may be VERY relevant. I'll try to be brief: 1. Google 'Equity Crowd Funding Wikipedia' to get an idea of what I think the restructure & rights offer is all about. Then google Equity Crowdfunding in Canada' 2. Google 'Seeking Alpha Wikipedia'. It states it is a crowd sourced content service for financial markets. In contrast to other equity research platforms insight is proved by a contributor base of investors and industry experts RATHER THAN SELL SIDE. This describes CC Abbott to a tee. She does get paid for how many clicks on her articles. I wonder about her blogs on PLI?? She post too much all positive as described above? 3. Structured Alpha LP(SALP) is an affiliate of PETER J. THOMPSON'S investment firm Thomvest Asset Management. Peter Thompson owns it outright. He doesn't have to report to anyone. It's totally his $. That's a bit scary. AFTER DOING A LOT OF READING on the above I spotted a few big concerns: 1. The new shares can possibly not be traded easily in fact you many have to wait 12 months 2. After the restructure is complete the TSX may not guarantee PLI can continue being listed on the TSX 3. If Tomvest is using The Equity Crowdfunding model to raise $ it could explain a lot. They are not treated like a normally listed stock. They don't have to report as much, they collect small amounts of $ from a large number of investors as limitations apply. GOOGLE: HOW EQUITY CROWDFUNDING WORKS!! If nothing else it's an interesting read. And by the way it's only a few years old. Best of luck to the longs....
