RE: ironicallyGood stuff... I noticed as well that IDEXX process has been FDA approved in the US since March 04, this release is simply to do with the EU.
Anyway, its funny you bring up the Swiss. I was told a story of a random slaughter done in Switzerland of something in the order of 15,000 cattle. I believe they found approximately 150 cattle infected with BSE. If anyone knows any of the specifics please post.
If you were to carry those numbers to other herds around the world... ie .1% then the numbers get pretty big, pretty quick. Not sure if that's good science but its all scary nonetheless.
All of the speculation and conspiracy theories about massive coverups start to have at lease a shred of merit... weird shiite. Think of the mass hysteria and economic impacts if this were truly as big as some suggest it is. We're talking mainstream food supply to the masses.... it would suggest widespread human CJB infection already in most developed nation populations.
Its quite possible that government doesnt want people to realize how big this is until they have solutions and answers in place to deal with the situation. Based on some predictions, that may not be possible at all.
I feel like a doomsayer but the frightening thing is that this very well might be closer to the truth than anyone knows. Who knows what this means to PLI, its just scary in general. I love a Hy's steak as much as the next guy!
