RE: Missing the Point
RE: Missing the PointKaiser is definitely an expert in the field of diamond exploration, but that doesn't mean everyone should accept everything he says without question. Among other things, this board is here to promote some intelligent debate. When you take away the sensational headline from the news release on CH-31, and analyze the results based on the typical yardsticks used to assess microdiamond results, it's evident that CH-31 may not be a game changer like Diavik's A154 pipe. If a mini-bulk sample eventually yields a lot of "macro" diamonds and an average grade in excess of 1 carat per tonne - great. But, I don't believe the early results strongly support that outcome. The 1.15 carat diamond came from a sample that lacked quantity and a distribution of sizes. More work is needed on CH-31 and Peregrine implies that by stating that a mini-bulk sample could be done (as opposed to will) as part of their 2011 program. CH-31 is a pipe that requires further investigation.
Don't get me wrong. I'm long on PGD and I haven't sold a single share of my holdings in the company since I purchased them more than two years ago. But let's have some discussion and other people's opinions, rather than suppressing debate by implying that anyone who has a different opinion than John Kaiser is out to lunch and in your words, pretty goofy.
