RE:Northern newsOne company presently running into Iqaluit is irrelevant, PGD is free to charter any one of several vessel operators on the Easter Seaboard that are capable of shipping materials north.  Nothing prevents them from actually chartering an operator long term for themselves and by doing this they would get a discounted rate.  For something along the lines of startup they could charter an operator for say 6 months and get a better rate as opposed to relying on the already established shipper for as and when required spot hires.
