PGD asking for 2 airstrips for winter program.
PGD asking for 2 airstrips for winter program.PGD is asking for 2 new airstrip locations this year.
Apprently the existing location is more east and closer to the glacier area and also more prone to inclement weather.
The HERC capable airstrip being submitted for approval is 12 km west of CH-6 on a large lake.
The twin otter capable airstrip (smaller) being submitted for approval is 5 km away (southish) and it will be used to transport personnel to and from Iqaluit.
The HERC capable strip will be used for mobilization and demobilization of equipment, supplies and samples.
It has also been noted now that "Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. is planning to conduct large diameter drilling and trenching at its CH-6 Kimberlite in the winter of 2017". That statement is only a few days old.
This will by far be the largest winter program at Chidliak to date....this planning is far from a care and maintenance approach. I have no doubt the Friedland's make sure this program will be financed....I just am clueless on exactly how that will be....yes, I have lots of idea,s permutations, etc....but I am literally lacking 'clues' to help me focus on one over the other.
