This game with stars kind of beats the purpose of rating. Wouldn't it be better if everyone just rated the posts the way they felt about them? How much would then one rating mean? Maybe he could be made meaningless and we could still keep the value of rating.

That's why I was saying that if people rate the posts the way they actually feel about them, one opinion would not make a big deal. The rating could actually reflect an average opinion. Some people don't like negative stuff about the stock, others don't care about pumping. But if only one guy rates, then it is not about how the board feels about the post, rather it's one opinion

I don't know how the stars are supposed to be used. Most likely as a rating of the post, not the person who is writing it. Someone rating the person instead of the content is not fair, but it is an expression of opinion. Everyone should be able to express their opinion and if you have something to say about that, do it. With stars or your own opinion. If possible without making it personal
