Lots of ice on the rock!
One fuel tanker has made it into Iqaluit with the Anna Desgagnes scheduled in 13Hrs. The Qamutik is also supposed to make it in this week. Hopefully something makes it out on these two sealifts.

Article and ice maps on the issue -- ice
It is crazy.
Good thing the SRC isn't sitting idle waiting for the bulk sample.

with the ships now coming in, they won't want to go out empty, expect it to leave in short order, hope it doesn't meet with too much ice going out so it doesn't meet the same fate as the fictional Le Cur de la Mer

Apparently this isn't the first time the boats have issues with ice.
2012 was a big problem too -- 2012 sealifts
