DDC puts Debeers on notice
Debeers could be shut out of Chidliak for good if DDC does a friendly deal for PGD soon.
It would not be out of the question for Debeers to act fast to block DDCs bid with a first bid of their own.

De Beers had their wallet squeezed so tightly when anglo acquired them....but once anglo decided Diamonds were one of the few commodities it is going with in the indefinite future, it loosened up some of the purse strings. I think the $CVV deal is a clear example of this. De Beers wants to get involved in future projects, future production in Canada. LONG...PGD EKIM

Will Eric step aside now and unleash Robert as the new chairman of PGD? I had stock in a potash junior "legacy" and Robert was brought on board as chairman with the sole purpose of selling the asset. I can see him wanting complete control.

Eric is just as smart as Robert... he will sell the company if the price is right

No doubt about that. I was just thinking optics.

Exactly. I think legally he is nothing more than an outsider.

I don't think it was ever brought up here, but no one finds it strange that everyone assumes that Robert has powers to decide, yet officially he is nothing more than an investor?

"Nothing" more than an investor? Who needs glasses now?

That's my point mill. What ever Eric does at the negotiating table will most likely get relayed back to Robert. Any potential purchaser nows full well that they are dealing with Robert so why not have him take the ball and run with it.

as far as I know Robert is the head negotiator already. No need for relaying anything.
