News out.

Hole DD33 contains a 152-metre long continuous intercept of typical CH-6 kimberlite, significantly more than the 100-metre intercept predicted by the current CH-6 resource model.

LONG...PGD

Does not seem to get people too excited. What are the expectations?

One thing for sure...that Scoping study they did with JDS earlier this year is absolute garbage now. They would have entered the assumptions based on the predicted modeling of the TFFE and those assumptions in one drillhole are shown to be basically wrong...to be blunt. "The results of this study are excellent and have significantly changed the specifics for the 2017 work program" ...more

So we get a little more ore in Ch6 at depth good enough I suppose. BUT then they drilled through country rock and discovered +30 centimeters of olivine kimberlite at 330meters deep before the drill hole was terminated? Is this what others read? If so lets speculate on what we have here(keeping in mind I am not a geologist so my terminology is a little pedestrian); looks to me like we have a ...more

Don't think this wil be a block cave at all. Adds dilution and good in big deposits. High capital, low operating costs. This new kimberlite could be very lucarative. If you take a step back to the other string of pearls. They have horrible strip ratios in any sort of open pit scenario..but an underground mine next to them and it is very easy to develop to them and extract the kimberlite only. ...more

The kimberlite contact expands the west-east diameter of the CH-6 pipe at 200 mbs from 55 to 90 metres by displacing the western margin of the pipe some 35 metres to the west.

I don't believe that they should be making a statement (based on one hole) that the pipe is expanding. It could very well be that it is bending out that direction. The other side could be pinching. My curiosity has always been does the pipe head toward CH 7 (do they combine?) Is the string of pearls a cavernous dyke way down with pipes poking through as it hotspots it way under the surface ...more

The east boundary does not drift west? See the choice of words from the NR: "displacing the WESTERN margin of the pipe some 35 metres to the WEST". Now see the section provided in the NR,, looking NORTH. Note that the east side has not moved yet the west side expands 35m to the west. See here in this pdf . . . https://media3.marketwire.com/docs/Peregrine-Diamonds-Ltd-Figure1.pdf . . . .  ...more
