Institutional buyer

Cudjo, you mentioned on numerous occasions the lack of institutional investors in Peregrine. Interestingly enough it has been Instinet that has been (all be it limited) the buyer of late over the last couple of weeks. Only a few hundred thousand but still buying slowly.
Cheers

thanks shneps, a good website for a look at ownership and free is Morningstar, Mont Blanc Capital Management AG is now been shown as a new buyer, 250K shares as of the end of March, good catch and IMO unusual at these prices and stage before what is expected by posters here. Maybe because it is spring, birdies are flying, positive change, good luck.

Instinet has been in and out for a while. At least 2 years. There really is no institutional holding, at least not one reported or over a few hundred K shares.
Comment by cudjo on Apr 24, 2018 10:45am
true enough mil, but the 250K is a change, there hasn't been anything for years, a one off is just a one off, a trend is required, deep pocket partner would start a trend IMO.  Good luck.
Comment by mill44 on Apr 24, 2018 11:14am
250k is a start.
Comment by shneps on Apr 24, 2018 12:11pm
Does closer to a million for a start tweek your interest?
Comment by mill44 on Apr 24, 2018 1:08pm
Any buying gets my interest if it leads to a move in the price. If it's more than an opportunity for someone to offload their shares then it's all good.
Comment by mill44 on Apr 24, 2018 4:06pm
Now that was interesting. Looks like a nice iceberg by Instinet. Let's see if it continues. We need it because today could not make a dent in the supply.
Comment by shneps on Apr 24, 2018 4:20pm
It took pretty everything at 16c without crossing to 16.5c so I totally agree. Let's see what happens tomorrow. I also see somebody threw a half a million in on the 17c ask today. Cheers

unfortunately, that is what millions of dime shares do to a company, so the next time someone tries to tell you that 50% discounted rights are not dilutive, you can use pgd as an example.  That doesn't mean they are not fair to retail, they get to participate, Canucks in this case, but still hugely dilutive.  (Do the math,  think they were around 80 cents when the dive to ...more
Comment by mill44 on Apr 24, 2018 9:56pm
Rights don't have to be dilutive. The idea behind rights is that you have a choice to contribute or sell your rights to counter the dilutive effect. The way Pgd did it left the rights basically worthless, leaving shareholders with no choice.
Comment by griefman on Apr 24, 2018 10:33pm
How does selling your rights not contribute to dilution?
Comment by cudjo on Apr 25, 2018 9:21am
drinking the bros koolaid mil, when a company discounts 50% and issues, not once, not twice, but three times, hundreds of millions of penny shares, it is dilutive, call it anything else, that's fake news, period.. When they were at a 60, 80 - a buck, PP to institutions would have ment tens of millions of new shares. Massive difference, simple, dilutive. Pompoms will say they had no choice ...more

Why do we need a feasibility study NOW - and the alleged $50M to do it NOW as well? Right - we don't. Cudjo's fantasy. Explore the other pits with trenching, THEN maybe a bankable feasibility study on a larger plant and longer mine life is the path if you ask me.
Comment by shneps on Apr 25, 2018 11:18am
I totally agree with you Schocor. From reading of the technical reports and news releases I believe the next step in the process is to fund a DMS on site for the concentration of ore, allowing for air lifts to take the concentrate straight to the SRC. We lose an entire season having to wait on analysis of the samples. I don't believe you will see much happening this summer but if financing ...more

That's how I would explore it; and YES we still need money; but it is not $50M and we don't need it last month. Exploration projects are like cactai - you CAN leave them alone with very little attention for a long time. Obviously this is not ideal, but if the market is not right and the money is not there you CAN choose to leave the project to sit for a year. The diamonds are not going ...more

sure guys, it is possible they want to do much more exploring, lets see how this works for shareholders, assuming they would want to do the same amount of work plus 5 mil or more for a DMS plant puts next winters budget at 17 million, at a dime that is another 170 million shares, assuming a dime works, based on sp today, more like 8 cents.  Then they have 610 million shares plus outstanding ...more

Sigh. Fake numbers - fake scenarios - wild assumptions - same old cudjo. The one thing you get right is that we need a partner; nothing new there.
Comment by cudjo on Apr 25, 2018 12:39pm
so what makes my potential senarios fake and yours true?  Other than the koolaid your drinking?  Or the glasses your wearing?  If you want to be successful in business, take away emotion, good luck.
Comment by schocor on Apr 25, 2018 12:45pm
Few of us are foolish enough to try to forecast - on a bi-weekly frequency - their precise work program, costs, timelines and financing. Furthermore, most of us recognize the need for a partner so do not attempt to gaze into our crystal balls and predict these outcomes on a "go it alone" basis. But you just keep doing what you are doing Cudjo. Here is a life hack for you though; if you ...more

Did they say that the $50M full FS was the next step in development at Childiak? No. If you tell me why YOU - CUDJO why thinks this is the next step I will tell you why I think you are wrong? Your arguments fall apart is you discount the $50M full FS as the next step in development.
Comment by cudjo on Apr 25, 2018 1:18pm
what comes after a pre feasibilty?  Who priced a FS at 50 million, not me, your hero JK did, use him only when it suits you?  Who told shareholders the company is gong to put this on ice, or just do some further exploration, at least I am using info the company has provided, if anyone is guess it is you.
Comment by griefman on Apr 25, 2018 1:18pm
Cudjo, you keep referring to pumpersdoodles here...who are you talking about who post here right now? I can see you calling Oiltar, Silverwhatshisname, pumpers, but I think that with them gone, I only see some good examples of posters left here sharing their “opinions”, just like you do, but you still insist on calling them pumpers using the same reasoning over and over. As presented before, we ...more

thanks kodi, a discussion started here that the company was going to ice this for a year or more, or toss around some dirt next winter, that a FS isn't the next step when a FS comes after the "pre" bull, as the guidance given by the company in "what does the future look like for Chidliak" slide on the webpage. Then I was attacked, not the post, but the poster, which is what ...more

Trust me, I’ve been on the side you find yourself in, big time. I think that it goes without saying that everyone is due their opinion and when you have many against one it becomes obviously difficult for the one who casts a negative light on the situation. My issue with you is that I don’t think we have super pumpers here, only strong opinionated personalities who seem to be the only ones who ...more

cool, for the record I am currently long, and as a long, would not be happy with status quo, icing this for a year or more, or just kicking around some dirt next winter with DMS and no partner. Good luck

Of rlelevant news recently....the Government of Nunavut was looking for some potentially decent royalties from future mine production along the Grays bay port road. That road got dealt an almost fatal blow 2 weeks ago.  Chidliak must be looking just a bit better for territorial royalties. The KIA is a strong organization...just look at Back River permitting....but they are not half billion  ...more

Before we worry about the road (government is not going to pay for all of it) what is happening with the deep water port? I have not been able to find anything related to the tendering or construction.
