Met work

I was wondering what was taking PLU so long to release processing results that were supposedly ready a "few weeks" after PDAC. I think it is safe to say that the mining council resolution has been decided in PLUs favor, and that has prom[ted the release of this all important information. Juan's timeline and the release of this info are too close to be coincidence.

If there was ANY chance at all that the Peruvian government was going to take away the claims to the Li, then why release met work for someone else's benefit?

All my own speculative opinion!

Oh, and around 80% total recovery into LiCO3? That's AWESOME. Recovery was always one of my question marks. I would have liked to see a slightly lower acid consumption, but recovery and purity are top notch, so can't complain. I would also like to know how they've been going on the hydroxide front, as Alex has alluded to several times. That is one of the major advantages over a brine project, being able to produce LiOH directly from the LiSO4, instead of converting LiCO3 indirectly to LiOH.

I've been wondering about the increased acid consumption versus the previous estimate of 150 kg/tonne. I mean, this is more than double the acid! The reasons I can think of are that the inital tests were done on the "bench", ie small scale under ideal laboratory conditions and mixing rates etc. Scaling up to an industrial sized application, mixing large tonnages of ore is not going ...more
