1. Why don't they sell their claims?

2. Is their technology/patents worth anything?

The Company still exists and technology with it, although the plant has been dismantled and put into storage.   There are plans afoot to revive the Company, but there are serious obstacles that are making this venture uncertain at the moment.    As soon as a clearer picture emerges, we will all be informed.
