Crunching Numbers

Crunching NumbersI have tried to figure out the Desmarais average cost per share. Starting in Mar. 9/16 with the purchase of 1,950,215 shares @ $3.35 (US $) and moving forward to May 12/16 (date of their last buy), I have totalled up 3,460,526 shares at a cost of $11,982397.00 (US $). This gives me an average per cost share of $3.46 (US $)/share. That is on the shares that I can easily put a cost to. There is still a matter of another 4,261,073 shares that the Desmarais's acquired prior to having to declare themselves as Insiders. These shares were no doubt purchased at a dollar cost average greater than the $3.46 US $/share that I have calculated. So their average dollar cost is still going to be greater. At $3.46/share (US $)/share using a conversion rate of 1.319 (Cdn $ = 0.7583 US), I get a converted Cdn price @ $4.56/share. So the Desmarais's are still out of the money based on today's close and the average cost of their shares acquired on and after Mar. 9/16. In my opinion, that's not going to be the case for long./ok2
