The multiplier of 0.611 since mid Friday seems to be lesser than the actual price differential between OSK and QMI.
I suspect there is:
- an improved offer from Osisko to assure they acquire the necessary 2/3's of the QMI share float
or
- another bidder is stepping in to challenge
I doubt it is a new interest so although it is very early to call it appears Osisko may need to improve their multiplier to gain control of the necessary shares to complete the Friendly TakeOver. Last call said they had 40ish %, a long way to go and many millions to spend.
Currently:
- OSK 7.59
- QMI 4.67
- Diff 0.615 vs Offer of 0.611
Should this differential grow through the week this may prove true.
