A recent interview with rep of Goldfields highlighted the fact that their business model is based on organic growth.  They don't rule out acquisition but they believe they can find it and bring to production cheaper than they can by buying it.  Any rumours about Goldfields being interested might have died with that article.  As for acquisition, if you watch the BNN clip

eebler, they're not going to come out and say "we're buying". With the new resource coming out soon and the fact we're the only ones to have the copper credits, I holding out hope that our neigbours Barrick will take a very close look at us. Watch this space....and btw, how strong has the price action been? Superb.
