The diversification to Botswana is a very necessary and good move by management, because just believing in the totally incompetent Mexican government cannot be an option any more.
For example remember:
- 'Letter of intend' in December 2019 by PEMEX --> all just talk - no action by the Mexicans.
- New energy plan by the Mexican government (should include private projects that are approved), should be released in February 2020 --> all just talk - no action by the Mexicans.
So totally damaging to credibility of the Mexican government.
You cannot run a country in this incompetent way or it will end up like Venezuela.
Maybe managment and Lukoil should sue PEMEX and the Mexican government because of violating their legal and contractual obligations.
