RE: This insider selling kinda bugs meAs I wrote in my post, "I know that insiders sell for a myriad of reasons". We all understand that, Chuckles. Rather than "appalled", I think at least some of us are thoughtful about these kinds of facts.
Here's why: if you do some research, you'll find that insider selling has accelerated in the last two months or so. This suggests that insiders are less enamoured with the risk/reward profile at this point than we are. Turn this around a bit and ask yourself whether you'd be exited to find out that insiders were buying 11 times as many shares as they're selling. That would pique my interest, just as the current insider selling of 11 times as much stock as they're buying interests me (and, yes, I know that options grants are involved).
This doesn't mean you should rush to sell, but you might at least want to think it through. After all, if the next PR is a lot less exciting than what the market clearly expects, profits are going to evaporate in a hurry (as we've experienced before). The market is somewhat euphoric with the US Fed cuts, and the high price of crude, but that can change overnight, as we're all too aware lately.
So, insiders are large net sellers of Oilexco. I prefer be flexible in my opinion at this point on the risk/reward continuum - that's all. I bought my first shares in the mid-single-digits, and this stock has gone from hated to loved to hated more times than any other holding I've ever had. Let's hope the love isn't too saccharine at this point.

Not sure about Mr Cairns' current status, but Dave Marshall is the General Manager at the Aberdeen office end of things. So a senior guy but not on the Board. As a salaried jock what will he be on -£100k GBP, $200K Canadian? I can just imagine the chat with his wife over breakfast: 'Darling, do you think I should sell my options, clear the mortgage, put the kids through University without a problem and still have nearly a million left until the tax man cometh. The BB guys will be appalled, but what do you think?'
