RE: Does 24a require an ES?
RE: Does 24a require an ES?They couldnt flow test the slim holes anyway even if they wanted too.
They had a good anomaly here (pretty low risk). Conoco were impressed with their success. The 2 well slim hole cluster (no normal width hole here) was a cheap well. Evaluated the anomaly, have oil, drill the horizontal from Maculloch and "voila" we have early production. Any bets on fall 2005? If this is part of an existing pool then I dont see need for any additional bureaucracy (i.e. EIS). Got to look at Conoco's 4D seismic too (You show me yours and I will show you mine!). Seeing an exisitng pool and how it has drained, will help Oil in its on-going development of nearby Brenda.
What is still interesting is the results for other slim hole? Where did that go? Did they evaluate block 25c??. As per this BB, that block is in a drill or drop situ come July. Art "very mum" on that..As I say very interesting!
Ok onward and upward - lets move south to Kerr McGee and block 21/4. This is a bit of exploration folks. Im looking forward to a bit of gas/condensate. As you probably know- the UK needs all the gas it can get...... Did anyone suggest exporting "Pounder" and placing a pipe up his a**, that would help a lot!!!
