RE: Kerr McGee's Licence for 21/4bhey Johnny:
it says 3650m or just below Aptian/Albian (Lower Cretacoeus)whichever is the shallowest. Check you well data form that well you quoted...maybe that will give an indication of depth. I think this is the small "E" exploration well Art was mumbling about. Its a double shot- theres a new "Brenda" over the top of a nice Albian (gas/condensate) play. They must have good indications on well and mudlogs from an existing well in the block. The Alba pool is a fractured chalk heavy oil field, it is located overlying the E 1/2 of the Brittania gas pool. We will have to drill thru the U. Cret. chalk to get to the Albian target. Maybe there is a 3rd target too?
Here's hoping anyway. Art and the boys looked at this and maybe it is too good of a prospect to pass on!!

p.s I think they are sitting back to evaluate the tie-in of the recently drilled Maculloch well. Remember they have partners here. I think we are all got a "Western Canada" attitude here i.e. get that sucker on production quick!! This is the N. Sea -its a little more expensive, so better get all your ducks in a row before you drill. Obviously they will have a through well plan to target the most oil on the horizontal. Plus they have to order equipment etc. it makes more sense to drill the well when they have everything together to put it on production right away. Its called "preservation of capital".
I think it will happen in the fall. Still its going to be earlier production for oil than previously stated. There could be more of this.
Interesting summer ahead.
