Royal Wins on Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard From Peter Gan, CEO of Royal Wins:
Following the announcement of a $67.8B deal between Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and Activision (Nasdaq: ATVI), I thought it is appropriate for Royal Wins to echo the positive sentiment that is now dominating the gaming industry, as well as provide commentary on how our Company fits in.
Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard is a clear signal that the mobile gaming industry has tremendous potential and will continue to see steady growth. We continue to speculate that mobile gaming will also become a strong player in the metaverse space,
something Royal Wins is looking into entering at some point.
While garnering international attention for traditional video games like Call
of Duty and Guitar Hero, Activision also owns the mobile gaming developer of Candy Crush, a major mobile hyper-casual game hit. An important characteristic of Candy Crush is
that this hyper-casual game is primarily based on chance, whereby the
player is playing against a pre-determined outcome,
and while addicting, it is less about your skill and more about pure
odds.
We believe that as the mobile gaming industry grows and develops,
the next major sub-segment of hyper-casual games
will be games of skill, like our Kash Karnival, where outcomes are
based solely on the player’s prowess, empowering players to win prizes
in a fair and transparent way.
Kash Karnival, developed by Royal Wins, is the world’s first fully licensed play-to-earn platform that is based on pure skill as opposed to chance.
The space is growing, and we are proud to be first movers in the industry.
It’s only the beginning.
Sincerely,
Peter Gan
