RE: HitchHiker

RE: HitchHikerJetstream, You're incredible. A number of us express our disaproval about being misled in news releases and you call us whiners. When SCS came out with the news release on Oct 1 1999, did they give you the impression that it would take more than 2 years for them to sign a contract that could be worth anything? Was it this statement in 1999 that made you think this? “HitchHiker will officially introduce this newest fully integrated on-line automated travel product suite to an elite cross-section of European travel industry executives from airlines, consolidators and travel agencies, at their Annual International Customer Meeting this weekend in Frankfurt.” Or maybe it was this one: Frank Wells, Chairman of SCS Solars Computing Systems said, "This alliance promises to radically improve the economics of travel information distribution and booking arrangements for this sector. The two companies' products offer significant synergy going forward, as well as, opportunities for SCS Solars and SOLARNET to supply existing customers of HitchHiker with automated distribution to their retail market place." Why did SCS not come out with a news release a few months after Oct 1 1999 stating that things have stalled because of a glitch, and it could be a few years before any revenue-generation will come about due to the HitchHiker/SCS alliance? The reason I don’t like the 1999 news release about the HH contract, is that it does not represent what SCS led investors to believe it would do.(period)
