RE: idle
RE: idle"One group complains about what not has happened and the other group becomes excited about the possibilities."
If I'm correct LL+ bookings just started to generate a fee at the beginning of 2002.
Here is your post from one year ago.
https://www.stockhouse.ca/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=5044369&t=0&all=0&TableID=0&exchange=V.
"All LL+ bookings generate a fee. SCS has been automating the booking
process. Each new module comes closer. What is the difference if
the booking is taken out of inventory or verified by a message.
I am not sure that if I was a consolidator I would give access to
my inventory to an outsider. SCS does not allow data entry nor does
HH or SmartFares. You can get sued when you mess up a booking.
If I was a consolidator I would keep control of my inventory and
OK a message requesting a booking.
Imagine a bank letting a outsider comlete a transaction from inventory
without the bank being an intermediary. Why would a consolidator be
any differnt.
LL+ has been recieving transaction fees for a couple of months but
needs a certain number per day in order to break even and turn a
profit. The numbers are increasing. LiveLinx was the same in the
beginning, slower than expected and then the growth became exponential.
TourTek is not transactions, LL+ is. The next level for LL+ is
Airtek.
Here is a qoute from one of tiny's posts.
"Airtek is the next version of LL+. The difference being that Airtek will automatically check that all fare/flight restrictions are met when the travel agent books the ticket. Thus all processing through to booking of flights will be automated. With LL+ orders come through from travel agent to consolidator and someone has to pick these up, check they meet restrictions before booking the flights with the airlines on via the CRS."
My favourite line from the recent NR is this
"There is a mandatory $5,000 (U.S.) cost for training up to six people in Toronto for a total of 12 days and an $8 (U.S.) per departed passenger fee."
IMO, this means the travel agent will use this from the start.
Also, for weeks most of the longs on this thread like kjones, Cash
etc. have stated that the financials are irrelevant. Most do not
seeing profitablility showing up until Q2 or even Q3. But when it
does watch out. Also, there could be surprises.
Stay long, we are getting close. Why would 4 of the largest GDS's
in the world be giving SCS a direct line and promoting SCS if SCS
was not a potential winner"
I believe that one group sometimes gets a little too excited about the possibilities.
Please keep it civil.
