New gold vein on Keremeos property
25th October 2011 SILVER FIELDS DISCOVERS NEW GOLD VEIN ON KEREMEOS PROPERTY Samples Return Gold Values From 13.1 to 54.10 g/t Vancouver B.C., Canada: Silver Fields Resources Inc. (the “Company”) (“Silver Fields) is pleased to report that the Company has received additional assays from the Horn Silver Project 30 km east of Keremeos, B.C. Extensive soil geochemical surveys have been completed in areas of the property which had previously not been explored. One of these areas, named “The Tire Line”, located away from any mine workings, has been found to contain gold values in soils from 15 to 492 ppb over an area about 50 m by 160 m long. Follow-up prospecting uncovered a flat quartz vein, similar to other occurrences on the property, but with interesting gold values rather than silver values. The vein which is almost completely hidden by overburden was uncovered for a distance of 2.5 m and there are now three samples from this interval. #57533 assaying 13.10 g/t Au over 0.10 m width #57537 assaying 8.72 g/t Au over 0.17 m width #57538 assaying 54.10 g/t Au over 0.10 m width The continuous chip samples represent true vein widths. The ultimate extent of this vein is unknown and trenching is planned in order to further explore it. President & CEO, Chris England stated “The discovery of this new vein has potentially added substantial value to this property, especially when the silver assays which have been disclosed to date, have been of such high value. We anticipate our planned drill program will be expanded to further explore this new vein.” Technical material in this news release has been prepared and/or reviewed by Peter G. Folk, P.Eng., an independent Qualified Person as defined in NI43-101. Assays quoted here were performed for Silver Fields Resources Inc. by Acme Analytical Laboratories, Vancouver B.C. using fire assay techniques with a gravimetric finish on a 30 gram charge.
