Tris, you can believe that if you wish. IMO This is management trying to pass blame to nova and other no voters, as to not look incompetent. We both know a one month delay would not have significantly impacted the dividend. The three companies should have been hedging on their own anyway. Either you can afford it or you can't. I still have my reservations about it, but I don't believe any AvenEx shareholders would have voted for the merger if there was to be no dividend. I stated this many times in some of my earliest posts on the AvenEx board. The dividend cut was a result of common sense and nothing more. To be honest, I was expecting a bigger cut. Only time will tell.
