RE:Going hostile?

RE:Going hostile? If the Co. line from CKI is "time restraints" then this would call into question the ability of the team running the investment division of CKI would it not?

Since I am content to collect 0.015 cts a month while the Brents,WTI's and WCS's fight it out as to where the world is most in equilbrium in terms of supply and demand then this board should be content as well....capital gains or losses is not the fault of mgmt....nobody told or forced  you or me to buy at $3.00 or $2.00 or even $1.00 a share....the company has stated very, very clearly that they are making an intermediate energy producer with a dividend policy.....15000 boe/d to 13000 boe/d to 14000 boe/d....seems to be decent....not great but not puny as well.  ****~$20.00 net-back should be good for a FCF of around ~$100M****

If the company can not execute its stated goal then that is another story....cut and dry really.

A 14000 boe/d producer without much to zero growth is nothing to get excited about especially without  a nice dividend payout every month.... unless the company has decided to become a "growth" company at some point then it will be hard to stay around and not get paid while shareholders wait for mgmt to become a rabbit when all along they have said they wished to stay a turtle...CKI seems to have no ideal what they own here....nobody told them to continue to hold from the merger(they got a board seat out of it did they not?)...it seems CKI fortunes or misfortunes are intervined with some on this board...with Rapps leaving after being swapped out with George A. so quickly in his tenure maybe the good folks at CKI believe they can effect some sort of change by leveraging their shrs to that effect?  I do not know the answer to that question or possibility but I do suspect CKI will need some "help" from somewhere to effect a change of policy direction here....

Which Investment Fund/Firm will go along with them to request a resolution to be voted upon at the next AGM(no time like the present to get these things added)...is above my pay grade...but since CKI has had some good fortune in these kinds of matters I am leaning towards a proxy fight for control and what better time than today(Dec.01/14) which is just in time for the final tax loss sellers....if there are really any left here besides CKI?....Friends with some spare change will do the trick here....and to those on this board trying to add alittle weight to the shareprice, you will have to up your "game" here as it looks like CKI was all alone at the board room table...even though they were content to collect the dividend while trying to do what with the direction of the company...?

This is what is odd here with these guys(CKI)...they seemed to have been hanger-ons from the old Avenex/Pace days/merger and yet they were silent and just collected their dividend every month in SGL....Why did they not try to effect some change earlier?  Is today a better time since the shrs have dropped to 0.68 cts?  What has changed?  The paper loss on the books of CKI?  Tired of the Calgary oil patch old boys/girls club?  No friends in the company?  Considered "outsiders"?  Opportunistic raiders to be?  Unless they are out then everything is on the table...Do they "feel" lucky or do they not...well......the Clint Eastwood line here....Dirty Harry for you younger bloggers here.

In order to put a resolution to a vote at the AGM they will have to act quickly....shareholders today or tomorrow need to think about what they want here....dividends in a no growth era or no dividends in a no growth era?

Take-over/merger speculation is the Black Swan event and should have no bearing on your decision...

Place your buy orders or sell orders and may the best team win.

*Got bored reading the board they last few days....need to liven(loosen) it up a bit.

****Please note very clearly I am ignoring the $270M in long term debt....nobody is calling it in so why worry about it right now?   Maybe a Black Swan event will occur and EV and al will be forgotten?   2016 might be an entirely different WCS oil environment...or might not.****

Good trading to all.
