RE:RE:RE:RE:To BamBam who is posting only on CEO now...Actually, with your example, yes, it might work, though for the polymer to be reusable the captured CO2 would still eventually have to find a home.

On a larger industrial scale MIPs strong points are in dealing with large molecules very precisely and something like CO2 they are overkill and ultimately probably not the most efficient, though I admit I'm thinking about it in a linear fashion.

Rare earths are used in direct air capture, and increasingly, as part of a process involving electrocatalytic reduction. Think Carbon Engineering, Liquid Wind. Some are also doing it indirectly through solar panels eg Synhelion. Tons of investment potential in that space of course, if you're in VC or PE.
