This post was back in June of last year!    I assume this just based on merits of the company alone....  no Take-over factor in.   All just my opinion/view/thinking.

This TD analyst has had a hard on for Shaw and Corus since before Shaw sold the rest of their Corus shares. Think he had a $12 target on Corus when everyone else had a $8 on a $7 share price stock and is is still. The analyst has had a target price that was several dollars away from the nearest analyst. I didnt think anyone would be able to purchase Shaw and disregarded this optimism.

Valentini maintained his Buy recommendation on January 13, 2021 with a $34 target. TD acted for Shaw "TD Securities and law firm Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP advised Shaw" per Globe article. Makes you wonder if Valentini had inside knowledge of a deal in the works - read the Globe article https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/article-rogers-seeks-to-buy-shaw-for-204 ...more
