Thanks Blindbat_1,

Excellent points.  I cannot confirm if IPDS is 51-101 compliant or if when added to the rest of the SMB geo-data and stamped by JimD, will it then?   But lets no get too far ahead of ourselves!                                   ( and please, easy with the Bre-X references, that one still smarts! )

I don't think Tullow's FTG seismic is 51-101 compliant either? But, they sure found the motherload of oil at Ngamia using it!  There are new, cheaper and more accurate technologies coming out all the time, I bet you thought this whole internet fad was a "hyped up claimed to be technology" too!  lol

Passive seismic saved dollars so when it comes time for 2D/3D they can shoot a much smaller survey, pin-pointed with targets rather than blanket the entire block with expensive, 2D/3D!

So I disagree that if you add them together they would cost the same etc.  JimD said they would only need to shoot a very "small" area of around 100-200 sqKm of 2D/3D after the IPDS.  SMB shot 4000sq.Km of IPDS for a fraction of the cost.  It makes a lot of sense for a little co. like SMB with $5 Million in the bank! IMO

Last point, to subsidize a friend?  Do you mean Akrawi?  I would say the other way around.  Simba brought him on because of his technology not the other way around!

cheers
