They knew they wouldn`t go very far without the financing, its seems like they wanted to get rid of their CFO and they definitely knew they would be halted by IIROC so it gives them time anyways to take care of the financing and announce as you said a new financing with year end and hopefully some new blood in the team or declare bankruptcy.
Someone said they would have to release it if they fired their CFO and it`s true but they don`t need to while it is halted.

I don't think we hear anything until the financing is done. I think the financials will be held up until a financing can be announced or bankruptcy is announced. There will be no point in filing financials and getting the stock trading while there is still so much uncertainty. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the late financials...they knew the stock would be halted...was intentional.
