 Hedge old buddy:

Since nobody else is talking to us, I`ll continue.

I`ll put my comments at the end.

This article was from Jan-2012, as you can see dates and promises are way outdated, but Routhier  mentions:

Sensio is also having discussions with both manufacturers to implement its forthcoming 3DGO!.

Meaning VIZIO and TCL

"We negotiated with manufacturers in order to bring that content to the market," he said, adding that Sensio and TCL recently signed a letter of intent to integrate Sensio's Hi-Fi 3D technology in TCL 3DTVs, while Vizio 3DTVs already support Sensio Hi-Fi 3D technology.

This is also from Feb 2012, one of the best articles as to what was going on and what to expect.

Remember that this article came after 3DGo was announced.

The new 3DGO! service will be targeted at consumers in the U.S. and China.  Lead TV brands include Vizio and TCL, who both use a MediaTek processor, which has Sensio Hi-Fi 3D built in.  In a separate announcement, Sensio said it has now signed a letter of intent with TCL to add Hi-Fi 3D to its 3DTV sets.  TCL is the biggest-selling TV brand in China.

Routhier also noted that it is easier to negotiate content rights for the U.S., China or both, vs. worldwide rights, so this is also a more practical approach.

Another one.

The deal also grants Sensio exclusive Video On Demand (VOD) distribution rights in China, giving Sensio an immediate footprint in the Asian markets upon launch of their product.

I can post tons of NRs related to SIO 3DGo launches, content deadlines etc, but that`s not the reason for this.

When we started pushing 3DGo last CES 2012, all we had was VIZIO and a LOI with TCL.

As you see both of them have been mentioned in conjuction with 3DGo from the beginning.

Besides that we had “nothing”, but we went ahead anyways.

TCL came officially on board on July 16 2012 and Hisense on Aug 22 2012

Starz-Big Picture-National Geographic came on board also in July-August 2012 and Disney two weeks ago,  That means the initial projected launch was based on assumptions.

How on earth were  we going to launch in the Spring 2012 ??, but if nothing else we created interest to draw curiosity to our brand and since then we have ploughing along with more bumps than Kim Kardashian has on her body.

That`s why I take dates and promises as another guess game, we have gone through an amazing roller coaster of unexecuted expectations.

But now, finally we have a Big Guy ( DISNEY ) on board, hopefully VIZIO will be ready to launch 3DGo by anytime now and the end of the month ( again hopping ).

And now will have to come the right execution.

I don`t know what kind of a deal SIO and Vizio have about length of exclusivity on the 3DGo launch.

Lots of time have gone by already since CES 2013, who`s fault ??.

The right thing to do now is to increase the TV brands in the USA VIZIO-TCL-HISENSE, push 3DGo to the floor, show the other OEMs that it works and try to draw them in.

And soon after go for CHINA.

I imagine thet by now almost everything is set there, both Hisense-TCL had over 9 month to fix glitches on their TVs and to get the RED CARPET ready to launch in China which will give us volume on TV sales and volume on movies rented. And don`t forget Tonka and Skyworth.

WE can`t waste any more time, we have lost ground, there are OEMs doing one or two movies here and there in 3D through VOD and Disney is supplying some of them, but we are the only ones with a deal.

But that deal is only good for one year, we already wasted 2 weeks, also I don`t know how long a deal we have with the other 3.

Vizio alone in the USA wont do it, they don`t want to reveal how many 3D TVs they have sold.

WE need numbers and volume and we can only get that with the three we have already, together or try to get some others on board, but don`t count on it yet ,let`s do it with what we have  for now.

We are worst in Canada, our numbers wont be practical for a while even bunching the three together, but if things fall in the right place let`s do it, just don`t waste time and money.

Routhier promise of Canada was later and then by the end of the year, we know what that means.

So open in the States, have a good efficient launch and go to China as soon as we can.

Chris Aito said “later this year to China”, later is anytime after tomorrow.

Remember we are paying DISNEY already and if we don`t show a good return we may not get the same deal next year.

WE have a Manager for 3DGo now, let him do whatever, and we can concentrate on more HI-Fi deals, switches and Autodetects.

Again IMHO.

Cheers.
