RE:RE:IMAX Partnering w/ TCL. SIO involved?

RE:RE:IMAX Partnering w/ TCL. SIO involved?
I don`t think or believe that SIO has anything to do with that NR.

It`s strictly a joint venture between TCL and IMAX and to make it work IMAX bought a piece of PRIMA Cinema.
It`s a home system for very affluent people that does not want to mix with us commoners, the price tag is between $2 million and $2.5 million.
Russian Oligarchs, Saudi Kings, Chinese Officials, Hells Angels :-)), the Microsoft and Googles will be the customers.
They have a 2015 release for now and basically will show current releases in your home theatre with the help of Prima cinema security and will use an IMAX format.
Apparently they have or are trying one now.
If you read more NRs they will do and use mostly 4K.

Nothing to do with us, but it also shows how difficult it is to brake in to China, Imax has and will spend millions of dollars .
Imax has 800 screens worlwide and 200 in China with a goal of 400.
Not everything they show is 3D, combination of Imax format, 3D and now they`ll try 4K.
Way out of our league on this one.

By the way it`s the third deal TCL has done, the first two derrailed ,see what happens to this one.

There`s lots to read out there.
