Doing business in China

I'm in Far East at the moment, and today found myself sitting next to a senior executive of a certain major motor manufacturer which has opened a factory in China. Guess what - THE PLANT IS BUILT and is due to start producing within a few weeks - AND PERMISSION TO START BUILDING IT HAS NOT BEEN GRANTED YET!!!!!!! That's doing business in China for you! He was very positive about a company having partners in China, and says that's the way to go. SVU is not badly positioned to be successful, from what I could learn. Nice talking to someone who actually knows, at a very senior level, and with in-country responsibility, what doing business there all about. Barley Barley
