I have been in the oil and gas business some 36 years and I have seen this before but never to this degree. Small oil companies would venture into countries like South America, West Africa and the Middle East thinking they have just tied up the "mother of all prospects". They get the run around from every direction until they yield to the corrupt local government officials. These officials have their own agendas and their favorite people they like to bring into these deals.

The management gets discouraged, throws in the towel and takes what ever little scarps are left.

It seems to me that this has become a " who will blink first"  business model.
As for bringing in the likes of "Potash Corp" etc. the out come for Spur Shareholders may not be anything to be to happy about.
