OPENFIELD Solutions Expands Partnership with Magruders
RALEIGH, NC, Sept. 9 /CNW/ - OPENFIELD Solutions is pleased to announce
that Magruders has signed a major contract for the full rollout of self-
checkout systems in conjunction with OPENFIELD's ISIS application, a
-Microsoft.net based point point-of-sale, back office and multi-store management
solution.
The solution includes the addition of two NCR FastLane self-checkouts
with attendant stations to existing pilot FastLane stores. Based in Rockville,
-Maryland, Magruders is a locally owned supermarket, operating stores in the

According to Glenn Gibson, Vice President & CIO for Magruders, "We are
very pleased with our pilot FastLane installations. Customer acceptance has
been good and we will further improve operations through the addition of more
lanes and an attendant station. Over the past six months we have tweaked and
studied our pilot implementations and after the holidays will be ready for
complete deployment. OPENFIELD Solutions in cooperation with their partner NCR
has worked hard to ensure Magruders succeeds with self-checkout. We also
committed to ISIS for our future stores based on the excellent returns from
solution benefits we are now leveraging in existing sites."

two years," said Don Gusse, VP Sales & Marketing, OPENFIELD Solutions. "Our
